We may be a day late with this update, but we’re excited to share the incredible performances by Viral Optics riders over the weekend! From the hills of North Carolina to the high-paced SMX World Finals in Las Vegas, Viral Optics Signature Series Goggles played a crucial role in the outstanding results our athletes achieved. Let’s dive into the action!
Brody Johnson Wins the HillBilly Smash Mid East Hare Scrambles
Brody Johnson, riding his Honda, continued his winning streak by taking first place at the HillBilly Smash Mid East Hare Scrambles in Morgantown, NC. Brody’s performance was flawless, and after his victory at Harris Bridge in Woodruff, SC, on June 30th, this win solidifies his dominance in the series. Viral Optics riders have been a consistent force, with Johnathan Johnson finishing second at Harris Bridge, securing Viral riders the top two spots in previous events. Both riders rely on the clear vision and unmatched comfort provided by the Signature Series goggles, giving them the edge on the track.
NEPG Series – Top Results for Bollinger and Johnson
In the NEPG Series, Trevor Bollinger of Rockstar Energy Factory Husqvarna Racing and Johnathan Johnson of Liquid Moly Beta Racing were back at it, showing their resilience and skill. Trevor finished 5th overall in the NEPRO1 class, while Johnathan matched his performance in the NEPRO2 class. Their strong finishes continue to reflect the trust these elite riders place in Viral Optics, where the quick-change lenses and superior sweat-channel technology help them navigate the toughest terrain with clarity and focus.
SMX World Finals Recap – Racing at the Vegas Motor Speedway
The SMX World Finals came to a thrilling conclusion in Las Vegas, where the championship battle went down to the wire. Viral Optics rider Cade Clason posted impressive qualifying times, narrowly missing out on the final cut by just two spots. As the teams head into a well-earned break, they’ll be gearing up for Supercross 2025. Cade, decked out in his Viral Signature Series goggles, demonstrated top-level performance, and we can’t wait to see what’s next for him as the new season approaches.
Pacific Northwest Racing – PRO Series Victory and More
Out in the PNW, the final rounds of the Pacific Racing Organization (PRO) Series were held, with Viral Optics riders showcasing their dominance. Mark Finney claimed the win in the 50 Masters on Saturday, followed by a second-place finish on Sunday, sealing the championship title. Making the switch to Viral Optics just this weekend, Mark’s vision and performance benefited immensely from the magnetic face foam and enhanced field of view offered by the Signature Series goggles.
On Sunday, Shon Wilson, former Viral Optics amateur team manager, won both the 30 PRO and 25 PRO classes, while Mark McPhail took home the win in the 40+ Intermediate category. Our very own Scot Steffy, founder of Viral Optics, gave an exciting performance in the 50 Masters and 40 Pro class. In an incredible duel, Scot battled head-to-head with Shon Wilson, pushing the limits and posting lap times rivaling the best in the Unlimited PRO Class. Scot’s fast lap of 1:14.90, just a fraction off the Unlimited PRO Class leader's pace, proves that even at 55, he's a force on the track.
