Viral Goggle Elite Riders Make Waves at Round 4 of Monster Energy Supercross and Beyond

What a weekend for the Viral Elite riders as they showcased their talent and determination across multiple events! From the heart-pounding action of the Monster Energy Supercross to the tight battles in AMA AX and Superenduro, our riders proved they are a force to be reckoned with.

Last Saturday, round 4 of the Monster Energy Supercross series took place at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, AZ. The Triple Crown format took over the night, which meant three intense main events for each class instead of the usual qualifier, LCQ, and one main event. Qualifying was based on time, with the top 18 advancing directly to the mains, and the rest having to fight their way through the LCQ.

In the stacked 250 class, Viral Elite stood out in a major way. Not only did we have five riders in the main events, but we also secured two spots in the top 10 in points—a major accomplishment for any brand. Hunter Yoder and Anthony Bourdon showed their consistency by qualifying directly, while Brad West, Enzo Lopes, Billy Laninovich, Ludo Macler, Braden Spangle, Mason Kerr, and Robert Hailey all put up strong efforts in qualifying.

The LCQ was a nail-biter. Billy Laninovich, who already holds the record as the oldest rider to qualify for a Supercross main event, grabbed a stellar start and sat comfortably in 3rd place. Brad West, a BarX Yamaha rider from Australia, was in 6th but on the move. In a thrilling final lap, Brad made the pass in the last corner to secure the 4th and final transfer spot, sending him to the main event alongside Billy, Hunter, and Anthony. In total, four Viral riders made the cut for the 250 main event.

The 250 class results were impressive:

  • Anthony Bourdon - 7th
  • Hunter Yoder - 14th
  • Brad West - 20th
  • Billy Laninovich - 21st

Mitchell Harrison and his PRMX / Partzilla Kawasaki on the way to main event.

In the 450 class, it was an all-out fight for Viral’s Cade Clason and Mitchell Harrison to earn their spots. Both riders had to go through the LCQ, and they didn’t back down. In the final lap, Mitchell passed Schlosser to give Cade the chance to make his move. With one last corner pass, Cade pulled off an incredible maneuver to transfer into the main event, and both our riders made it through.

The 450 class results:

  • Cade Clason - 21st
  • Mitchell Harrison - 22nd (Mitchell had a crash and didn’t race the final event of the night, but still gave it his all).

Viral’s presence in the Supercross main events speaks volumes, especially considering we’ve only missed one 450 main event this entire season. Our goggles are designed for this level of competition, with features that stand apart from the rest. From our Signature Series+ goggle with the quick-change modular frame and magnetic face foam to our Alpha Series offering great value and high performance, our riders count on Viral to get them through the toughest conditions. Kicker AX

Meanwhile, in Reno, NV, at the AMA AX, Ryan Breece of MCR Honda finished a strong 2nd overall, and Aaron Siminoe finished 5th, with two Viral Elite riders in the top 5. This was another major highlight of the weekend and showed our riders’ versatility across disciplines. You can catch all the action on Fox Sports 1.

FIM SuperEnduro

Across the pond in Lodz, Poland, Dominik Olszowy made a remarkable return to FIM Superenduro after a crash at round 3. Despite still being sore, Dominik fought hard and earned a solid 8th overall. His resilience is a testament to the spirit of Viral Elite, and we couldn’t be prouder of his efforts on the Factory Rieju.

Colton Shields on his way to 1st overall in the PRO - AM Division of the US Sprint Enduro.

U.S. Spint Enduro

At Round 2 of the US Spring Enduro, Gavin Simons showcased his competitive edge by finishing a strong 4th overall, demonstrating consistency and resilience throughout the event. His performance, marked by precise riding and a determined pace, kept him in close contention with the frontrunners, hinting at even greater potential as the season unfolds. Meanwhile, Colton Shields claimed the top spot in the PROAM Division, finishing 1st overall with a commanding display of tactical skill and unwavering focus. Shields’ victory not only underscored his ability to navigate challenging conditions but also set a high standard for competitors in the division. With so many riders excelling this weekend, it’s clear that Viral Brand is carving out a special place in the world of powersports.
